Never forget how wildly capable you are
Charles Bukowski once said ‘The problem with the world is that intelligent people are full of doubt while the stupid people are full of confidence’.
You will doubt yourself, you will question if you can do it or not, you’ll be on the brink of giving up, but you won’t. And the reason you won’t, is because deep down inside of you there is a fire that will not die. There’s a reason for that. There’s a reason you’re not supposed to quit. There’s a reason you’ll try one more time, go one more day. You are wildly capable and you must not forget that. It’s not easy, there will be low points, tears and frustrations. But I can tell you, it will be worth it. It will be worth it because regardless of if you ‘win’ or ‘lose’, you win with yourself, you prove to yourself that you can do it, and that is utterly priceless.
You are wildly capable, don’t let the voice of self-doubt tell you you’re not. Start proving it to yourself. Take one baby step today, make that phone call, make that introduction, just take the first step. It’s scary doing something new, but what is scarier is the thought of regret and being 90 years old wondering ‘what if’. This isn’t nothing you haven’t heard before, but this is a call to action, it may sound all cliché right now, and you think you’ve got all the time in the world, but that might not be the case. If you speak to any of your elder relatives, they’ll tell you the past 40 years have gone in the blink of an eye. Make sure you drive those 40 years and don’t let them just pass you by.
You…..yes you reading this…. you are wildly capable, please start believing it!
